Pharmaceutical investment mogul Behzad Aghazadeh set a record in Brooklyn by buying a $ 16 million townhouse and stroller.
Brooklyn Heights purchases were closed in May, but were not recorded until November 13, according to the New York Post, which was the first to report the deasel. Both were off-market purchases.
Aghazadeh wants to combine both properties into one megamansion.
According to the Post, he bought the memorial stone at 81 Pierrepont Street for $ 12.5 million and the carriage behind it at 35 Love Lane for $ 3.5 million. The 8,000-square-foot property on Pierrepont Street would require city approval for any change. Aghazadeh’s architect Baxt Ingui submitted the plans to the Commission for the Protection of Monuments.
The $ 16 million purchase broke $ 15.5 million a recording created by actor Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany when they bought a town house in Brooklyn Heights.
