The Billionaire Boys Club plans to open a store in Miami’s fashionable Wynwood neighborhood.
Pharrell Williams-owned clothing brand signed a lease for 5,700 square feet at 2,545 Northwest Third Avenue in a building that previously contained a wholesale shoe company. The venue is opposite Zak Baker, Walt Grace Vintage and Wynwood Garage. Terms of lease were not disclosed.
The store is expected to open in late 2021, the spokesman said. It will be the second full-fledged Billionaire Boys Club store in the United States after its flagship in New York.
David Lerner of Dwntwn Realty Advisors represented both parties to the Wynwood agreement.
Williams founded the Billionaire Boys Club in 2003 alongside fashion designer and creator Bathing Ape Niga and Japanese graphic designer Sk8thing. The new Wynwood branch will sell Billionaire Boys Club clothing as well as brands such as Icecream, Adidas, CDG Play, Human Made, Medicom, Neighborhood and Wtaps
“The BBC is still the largest fashion tenant to commit to Wynwood, and did so during a pandemic,” said Dwntwn co-founder Tony Arellano in a statement.
The Billionaire Boys Club opens in a 14,903-square-foot building owned by brother and sister Irving and Esther Lerner of Lerner Family Properties. The building will be divided into three separate units with the Billionaire Boys Club anchor.
The Billionaire Boys Club has been operating a pop-up in Wynwood since late 2018 at 255 Northwest 25th Street, according to a spokesman. It will release this site where it is new Hotel Moxy by Marriott will be built when he opens his Wynwood store.
Wynwood in the last few years, it has been in transition, with new retail stores, restaurants and multi-family projects.
In September, Magellan Housing and its celebrity partner Miami Heat star Udonis Haslem received approval from the Miami’s Omni Community Redevelopment Agency for a proposed 12-story, multipurpose apartment project at 2035 North Miami Avenue at the south end of Wynwood.
This summer, East End Capital received the Miami Urban Development Review Board approval for Foyer Wynwood, a 12-story 236 unit joint development on North Miami Avenue, between 24th and 25th streets.
Last month, a related group and block capital group launched their 175-star apartment hotel at 51 Northwest 26th Street at a whispering price $ 90 million.
